| | I don't think I have had such a great trip since Korea, two years ago. It's a long blog with pictures so beware.
090705, Gananoque 1000 islands;

The islands are so beautiful. There was the one house that was amazing. (Yes, this is my first time going around 1000 islands.)
There was also this bird that was following the boat, it was so cute :)

(I suddenly thought of "I'm on a boat" so I was determined to take a picture. (Mind my awkward clothing, Henry forced me to put on his hat, and it was somewhat freezing cold in the air.)

090705 Ottawa; I didn't take many photos in Ottawa, I've been here a million times, but there was one place I've never been to.
 It's a house that should be set on fire. (kidding.) Yes, it's no other than Canada's failure prime minister, Stephen Harper's estate. Luckily, we didn't see him or else our eyes would have bled.
090705 Montréal: St. Joseph Cathedral;

I tried to take a picture of myself with the background there, but there are so many flaws in the picture- firstly the background, and I forgot to turn on flash :\

Outside view of St. Joseph;
  Second picture finger fail, I know.
090705 Montréal Jazz Festival;
Couldn't take many pictures, 'cause it was so dark and far and... yeah. This is the only one that night, I took. But there were jazz improvisations of a jazz band with a pianist, saxophonist, contra-bass, and bassist--- it was absolutely crazy. It could not be more perfect as an improvisation, they were so into it, and I was just amazed in their passion of music and love for it.
090706 Breakfast/Montréal Notre-Dame Cathedral;
Breakfast @ comfort inn&suites.
   The second picture (above) is stairs, it looks really curvy and intense :D.
090706 Québec City;
I spoke French on the way, and people understood me! :D I had to ask a few restaurants if they had escargots, because Daniel's parents wanted escargots and all, so I said "Excusez-moi, avez-vous des escargots?" nearly 5 times, and all of them replied, "Oui :D" (literally with the smile.)
Thinking about this place-- it remindes me of 'Simard' :). We were resting, and suddenly this cute French guy comes and says in broken English, "I am artist... draw... a drawing for five dollars." No one understood except for Henry and I, so I told my dad to do it, but he pushed Daniel's brother and Henry to do it. They told each other to do it and all, and finally Henry decided to do it.
Suddenly my dad tells me to ask him how long it takes, I asked him in English and he was completely clueless, which was so cute. So I was like, "Um, comment... I mean, combien de temps..." and he answered right away, "Cinq minutes." So I told my dad, "Five minutes," and he repeated, "Five minutes. Yes, five minutes." and smiled. SO CUTE, MY GOSH. The mistake of my life is not taking a picture of him. Later on, he begins to draw Henry, and no offense, the drawing didn't turn out that great. But, it was cute at least. Not that Henry's cute -.-. (He's 27.)
But Henry started talking to him with the phrases I taught him. Their conversation:
H: Je m'appelle Henri. S: Je m'appelle Simard. H: Simard? S: Oui, Simard.
Later on, Simard started talking to me :D!!!
J: Vraiment? Merci beaucoup! :D! S: De rien.
It was short (and roughly written). But still very nice. I would love to go on and on about Simard, but I must move on now.
090706 La vielle maison du Spaghetti;
I've been there nearly 3 times now, I remember I've been there quite a bit though.
Mon prèmiére temps avec des escargots. C'était . . . comme si comme ça.
My spaghetti before & after :D

090706 Back to Montréal/Jazz Festival;
   Oh my, it's la Ronde. And it looks rather monstrous.
   Henry bought us Starbucks. But like always, it gave me a huge stomach ache, 'cause I didn't have my pills with me :( Very hard to see, but a bit of the stage of the Jazz festival. There are many stages everywhere, that was a really small one compared to this.. gigantic one somewhere at the other side.
090707 Coming back to Toronto;
  Our hotel room. The neater one was the one I slept at. The other bed was shared by Henry and my dad.
We had to wait for Daniel and his family to wake up, so I got bored. . .
I thought that was good enough for the day, but it got colder so I put on two hoodies.
(creeper!dad, LOL. I laughed out loud when I saw the picture. My dad didn't get it. *sigh)

Dear Lord, I love my phone. Yeri took my camera for Wasaga, but what camera of a phone can seriously take photos like these? (omniaHD, ultratouch. . .) Or is it just my skill? Hehe, just joking. It's so-so. The skies were absolutely beautiful after the rain. There was a huge rainbow afterwards as well :)
Montréal and I are meant to be. McGill and I are meant to be. As well as Daisy. :) The trip was absolutely fantastic. |
